I have loved Valentine’s Day since I was in Kindergarten. It’s so fun creating and giving cards and treats. For this week’s DT project I would like to share a couple of Valentine's treat containers I made using French fry boxes I found at Target (the dollar bins), paper fromBazzil’s Red Devil Multi Paper Pack and various embellishments. The paper in the Bazzil paper pack is perfect for Valentine’s Day projects. It has so many great designs and the colors are rich and vibrant.
Here is a photo of what the box looked like before I got my hands on it.
For each treat box I took apart the pre-assembled fry box, laid it flat on to a couple of sheets from Bazzil’s Red Devil paper and traced around it. I then cut out the traced image and adhered it to the box using Mod Podge. I folded it back together and glued the sides. On the front of the containers I decorated with various embellishments like flat back pearls, box pleated trim, paper clips, etc.
I plan on giving these to some of my crafty friends so I filled the containers with fun items like stamps, metal charms and mini punches.
This project was so fun, quick and easy.
